Croatia Industrial Output Falls in September

In September 2025, Croatia experienced a slight decline in industrial production, decreasing by 0.1% year-on-year, reversing a significant 3% growth observed in August. The output in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning sector dropped more sharply, declining by 14.3% compared to a 6.8% decrease in the prior month. Growth in the manufacturing sector also slowed, posting a 3.2% increase down from 6.2%, with particular deceleration noted in the production of coke and refined petroleum products, rubber, plastic products, motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers. Conversely, mining and quarrying experienced a smaller decline, improving to a 2.5% drop from a steep 10.8% in August. On a month-to-month seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output saw a modest increase of 0.5% in September, building on a 0.1% rise in the previous month.
