Brazil’s Producer Price Index (PPI) picked up pace at the start of 2026, with prices at the factory gate rising 0.34% month-over-month in January, according to data updated on 4 March 2026. The increase marks a firm acceleration from December 2025, when the PPI had registered a more modest 0.14% monthly gain.

On a month-over-month basis, the January reading shows producer inflation more than doubling compared to the previous month, underscoring rising cost pressures in the production chain.
