Slovenia Producer Prices Fall 0.2% In December

In December, Slovenia's producer prices continued to decline, albeit at a slower rate than observed throughout the year, according to the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia's latest data released on Tuesday.

Year-on-year, industrial producer prices saw a 0.2 percent decrease in December, a slight improvement compared to the 0.4 percent drop recorded in November.

Domestically, product prices fell by 0.1 percent, while prices in foreign markets decreased by 0.2 percent.

Examining individual sectors, both the manufacturing and the mining and quarrying sectors experienced a 0.3 percent drop in prices compared to the previous year. In stark contrast, the electricity sector experienced a price increase of 1.8 percent.

On a monthly comparison, output prices recorded a marginal increase of 0.1 percent, following a 0.5 percent rise in November.

For the entire year of 2024, the overall producer price index marked a 1.7 percent decline from the levels observed in 2023.
