Danish Trade Surplus Widens in June

In June 2025, Denmark experienced an increase in its seasonally adjusted trade surplus for goods and services, reaching DKK 23.1 billion, compared to a downwardly revised figure of DKK 22.3 billion in May. This increase occurred as exports decreased at a slower rate than imports. Specifically, the surplus in goods trade expanded by DKK 1.9 billion during this period, mainly due to a rise in exports. Conversely, the surplus in services saw a reduction of DKK 1.1 billion. Overall, exports experienced a slight decrease of 0.2% from the previous month, totaling DKK 172.3 billion, notably with shipments to the United States decreasing by 4.1% to DKK 29.3 billion. On the other hand, imports fell by 0.7%, amounting to DKK 149.1 billion. During the first six months of the year, Denmark achieved a trade surplus of DKK 143.5 billion, an increase from the DKK 131.0 billion recorded in the same period of the previous year, 2024.
