This downturn marks the fifth consecutive month of declining industrial activity, primarily influenced by substantial reductions in the output of sectors like electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, which plummeted by 18.8% following a 0.9% decrease in May, as well as a 2.3% decline in the manufacturing sector, exacerbated from a 0.2% fall. Furthermore, the mining and quarrying sector saw a 0.5% decrease, a reversal from the significant 37.5% increase recorded in the prior month. On a month-to-month basis, industrial production slipped by 0.1% in June, contrasting with the 0.5% growth seen in the previous period.
