Belarus Inflation Climbs for Sixth Consecutive Month

In July 2025, the annual inflation rate in Belarus climbed to 7.4% year-on-year, reaching its highest point since February 2023, and slightly increasing from 7.3% observed in the preceding month. This rise was predominantly fueled by the services sector, which experienced a price surge of 7.6% year-on-year, up from June's 7.1%. Furthermore, food prices edged up slightly to 10.6% from 10.5%. Conversely, some of the inflationary pressure was alleviated by a decrease in non-food goods inflation, which eased to 3.0% from 3.2%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices registered a 0.2% increase in July, a deceleration from the 0.9% rise recorded in June.
