FX.co ★ Slovakia Construction Output Rises the Most in Over 7 Years

In September 2025, Slovakia witnessed a remarkable 19% year-on-year surge in construction output, following a 12.1% increase in August. This represents the most substantial growth since January 2018, with most sectors showing notable advancements. Specifically, domestic construction output increased by 16.4%, compared to 7.9% in August. New construction activities saw a rise of 15.9% over the previous 7.8%. Furthermore, repairs and maintenance experienced a boost of 14.8%, up from 11.4%, while building construction rose by 16.2%, previously 9.4%. In engineering construction, the output increased by 16.7%, a significant jump from the prior 4.8%. On the other hand, growth in construction abroad showed a deceleration, expanding by 41.2%, down from 49.4%.
