In October 2025, Greece's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased slightly to 8.6%, down from a revised 8.7% in September. Despite this decrease, the number of unemployed individuals increased by 1,000 from the previous month, totaling 411,400. Notably, unemployment rates remained disproportionately higher for women at 11%, in contrast to 6.7% for men. On a positive note, employment figures rose by 20,600, bringing the total number of employed individuals to 4.3 million. Additionally, the count of individuals classified as outside the labor force—those under 75 years old who are neither employed nor actively seeking work—decreased by 24,200, reducing to 2.982 million.
