In October 2025, Cyprus witnessed a 3.5% increase in industrial production compared to the same month in the previous year. This growth was a slight decrease from the seven-month peak of 4.7% recorded in September. Within the sector, mining and quarrying experienced a downturn with a 1.7% decrease, contrasting with a 0.5% rise reported in September. The electricity supply segment also saw a decline, dropping by 3.4% after having seen a 5.3% increase earlier. Meanwhile, the manufacturing sector's growth decelerated to 4.3% from 4.7%, largely due to reduced output in textiles, wearing apparel, leather products, and refined petroleum products, as well as chemicals, chemical products, and pharmaceuticals. Conversely, there was a marked increase in activity in both water supply and materials recovery sectors, which grew by 7.4%, up from 5.6%. Over the first ten months of 2025, industrial production overall was up by 3.1% in comparison to the corresponding period in the previous year.
