In October 2025, the prices of single-family homes supported by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reported an increase of 0.4%, surpassing market predictions, which anticipated a modest 0.1% rise. This came after a revised decrease of 0.1% in September. Across the nine census divisions, home price evolution varied, with declines of 0.4% in the East South Central division, while the West South Central division saw a notable 1% rise. On an annual basis, house prices experienced a 1.7% increase in October. Over the past 12 months, changes ranged from a decline of 0.7% in the West South Central division to a substantial rise of 5.3% in the Middle Atlantic division.
