In November 2025, Portugal experienced a modest increase of 0.3% in industrial production compared to the same period the previous year. This marks a recovery from the 0.4% decline observed in October. The improvement was mainly attributed to less severe reductions in energy output, which fell by 2.8% as opposed to the significant 15.4% drop in October, and in the production of intermediate goods, which decreased by 2.2%, improving from the 4.5% decline. Despite these recoveries, other sectors saw a deceleration in growth. Consumer goods production increased by just 0.7%, down from 2.6% in October, while the production of capital goods rose by 2.7%, a reduction from the previous 6.1% growth. On a month-to-month basis, however, industrial production saw a notable decline of 3% in November, after experiencing three months of continued expansion.
