Eurozone Jobless Rate at 7-Month Low of 6.3%

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the Euro Area slightly decreased to 6.3% in November 2025, down from 6.4% in October, and fell just below market expectations of 6.4%. This figure marks the lowest level since April, with the number of unemployed individuals decreasing by 71,000 to reach 10.937 million. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, which accounts for individuals under 25 actively seeking employment, also saw a minor decline to 14.6% in November from 14.8% in the previous month. Among the leading economies within the bloc, Germany reported the lowest unemployment rate at 3.8%, followed closely by the Netherlands at 4%. Conversely, Spain (10.4%), France (7.7%), and Italy (5.7%) experienced the highest rates. Compared to the same period last year, the overall unemployment rate was marginally lower, standing at 6.2%. Across the broader European Union, the unemployment rate remained unchanged at 6% for the seventh consecutive month.
