FX.co ★ Kazakhstan Monthly GDP Growth at 4-Month High

Kazakhstan's short-term economic indicator, which signifies monthly GDP growth, demonstrated a year-on-year increase of 9.4% from January to December 2025. This growth rate surpassed the stable 9.1% increase observed over the preceding three months and significantly exceeded the 6.2% growth recorded during the same period the previous year. This period of expansion was the most robust since August, largely fueled by strong performances in sectors such as transportation and storage (20.4%), construction (15.9%), trade (8.9%), and industry (7.5%). Conversely, sectors like communication (3.6%) and agriculture (5.9%) exhibited the weakest growth. On a regional level, economic activity expanded most rapidly in Astana City (17.6%), Shymkent City (16.7%), Turkistan Region (13.9%), and the Soltustik Kazakhstan Region (13.8%). However, the Shygys Kazakhstan Region experienced a decline in economic activity (-0.9%).
