Italy's current account deficit reduced to €1.3 billion in November 2025, down from €2.2 billion in November of the previous year. This positive shift was primarily driven by a marked improvement in the trade of goods, with the goods account surplus expanding to €4.7 billion from €3.4 billion in November 2024. In contrast, the services balance showed little change, maintaining a deficit of €2.2 billion. Meanwhile, deficits in both primary and secondary income increased, reaching €3.0 billion and €0.8 billion, respectively, up from €2.7 billion and €0.6 billion. For the period from January to November, Italy experienced a rise in its current account surplus, which grew to €24.5 billion from €21.2 billion during the same timeframe the previous year.
