FX.co ★ Moldova Industrial Production Decline Eases In November

In November, Moldova's industrial production experienced its fourth consecutive month of decline, but the rate of fall slowed compared to October, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday.

Year-on-year, industrial production decreased by 3.6 percent in November, a notable improvement from the 8.5 percent drop observed in October.

The moderation in the decline was primarily attributed to a significant 68.2 percent increase in utilities production. Conversely, the extractive industry production remained constant, while manufacturing witnessed a sharp downturn of 17.1 percent.

When adjusted, the industrial output registered a 2.0 percent decrease compared to the previous year.

On a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted industrial production rose by 9.5 percent in November, though this was slower than the 14.0 percent growth recorded in the preceding month. This marked the third consecutive monthly increase.
