FX.co ★ Luxembourg Jobless Rate Holds Steady at 5.9%

In August 2025, Luxembourg's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate held steady at 5.9% for the third month in a row. Employment statistics indicated a decrease in employment, with the number of employed individuals dropping by 56 from the previous month, reaching a seven-month low of 18,557. Total employment also fell, down by 525 to 522,126. Within the Luxembourgish workforce, the active labor force decreased by 427, arriving at 316,573. Regarding cross-border employment, the number of outgoing resident workers stayed constant at 14,048. However, there was a decline in incoming cross-border workers by 183, bringing the total to 231,028, showcasing minor shifts in workforce trends.
