In the third quarter of 2025, Morocco's manufacturing sector experienced a 2.2% increase compared to the same period the previous year. This growth marks a deceleration from the 7% expansion recorded in the preceding quarter, in part due to base effects. Significant growth drivers included the food industries, which surged by 11.3%, other non-metallic mineral products with a 12.2% rise, the chemical industry with an increase of 4.3%, motor vehicles at 7.4%, rubber and plastic products escalating by 16.2%, and other transport equipment growing by 19.9%. On the downside, there were reductions observed in tobacco products, which fell by 28.4%, pharmaceuticals decreasing by 17.3%, metal products excluding machinery down by 6.6%, and metallurgy which declined by 8.0%.
