The Eurozone industrial confidence indicator improved to -6.8 in January 2026, increasing from a revised -8.5 in December, and surpassing market predictions of -8.1. This marks the highest level since May 2023. The advancement was widespread, as businesses conveyed more optimistic assessments across all three key components: production expectations, the current status of overall order books, and inventories of finished products. Nevertheless, beyond the primary indicator, firms reported a slight decline in their evaluations of export order books and recent production changes.
