FX.co ★ Colombia Imports Rise 7.1% in December

Colombia’s imports increased by 7.1% year-on-year to $6.05 billion in December 2025, driven primarily by higher purchases of manufactured goods (+12.5%). Within this category, imports of machinery and transport equipment rose by 17.0%, while chemicals and related products edged up by 0.5%. Imports of agricultural products, food, and beverages also expanded by 9.8%, supported by a sharp rise in purchases of beverages and tobacco (+81.4%) and a 5.4% increase in food products and live animals. For the full year January–December 2025, total imports amounted to $70.50 billion, a 10.0% increase compared with the same period in 2024.
