Czech GDP Growth Eases to 0.6% in Q4, Slipping from 0.8% Quarter-on-Quarter

The Czech Republic’s economic growth moderated in the fourth quarter, with gross domestic product (GDP) expanding by 0.6% quarter-on-quarter, down from a 0.8% quarter-on-quarter increase previously. Both the current and prior figures refer to the fourth quarter of 2025, based on data updated as of 3 March 2026.

According to the quarter-on-quarter comparison, the latest reading shows that while the Czech economy continued to grow, the momentum softened slightly compared with the preceding quarter’s performance. The “actual” 0.6% figure reflects the change in GDP in the current quarter relative to the previous one, whereas the earlier 0.8% represented growth in the prior quarter against its own preceding period.

The data suggest a still-resilient but marginally cooling growth trend as the economy transitions into the new year, with investors and policymakers likely to watch upcoming quarterly releases for signs of whether this deceleration persists or stabilises.
