Sweden’s Consumer Sentiment Inches Higher in March, PCSI Rises to 55.91

Swedish consumer confidence showed a marginal improvement in March, according to the latest Thomson Reuters IPSOS Primary Consumer Sentiment Index (PCSI). The index edged up to 55.91 in March 2026 from 55.89 in February 2026, based on data updated on 12 March 2026.

On a month-over-month basis, the slight uptick suggests sentiment remains broadly stable, with only a minimal positive shift compared with February. The current reading is assessed against the previous month’s level, while the February figure itself reflected a comparison with January, in line with the survey’s methodology.

Although the move is small, the PCSI holding above the 55 mark indicates Swedish consumers remain cautiously optimistic about economic conditions, with no significant deterioration in sentiment between February and March.
