Angola’s annual inflation rate eased further to 10.11% in June 2026, down from 10.88% in May, reaching its lowest level since June 2015 and extending the disinflation trend to a 23rd consecutive month. The stabilization of the kwanza has been identified as the main factor behind this moderation. Price growth decelerated across most CPI components, including food and non-alcoholic beverages (10.73% vs 11.33% in May), housing and utilities (11.14% vs 14.32%), transportation (15.40% vs 15.73%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (8.64% vs 9.22%), and clothing and footwear (6.59% vs 7.39%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.52% in June, broadly unchanged from the 0.53% increase recorded in May.
