Denmark’s seasonally adjusted current account surplus narrowed to DKK 30.7 billion in May 2026, down from a downwardly revised DKK 32.5 billion in April. This was the smallest surplus in three months. The goods surplus fell to DKK 24.8 billion from DKK 31.3 billion, pressured by a 2.4% drop in exports alongside a 5.7% rise in imports. The primary income surplus also eased, to DKK 4.1 billion from DKK 5.9 billion. By contrast, the services account swung to a surplus of DKK 4.1 billion after recording a deficit of DKK 2.1 billion in the previous month, and the secondary income deficit narrowed to DKK 2.2 billion from DKK 2.6 billion.
