Denmark’s seasonally adjusted trade surplus narrowed to DKK 28.9 billion in May 2026, down from a downwardly revised DKK 29.2 billion in April. Exports rose 1.3% month-on-month to DKK 189.3 billion, as a 5.8% increase in services exports more than offset a 1.6% decline in goods exports. Imports grew 1.8% to DKK 160.4 billion, driven by a 5.7% rise in goods imports despite a 2.5% drop in services imports. Over the period from January to May 2026, Denmark posted a trade surplus of DKK 144.4 billion, up from DKK 124.4 billion in the same period a year earlier.
