FX.co ★ US Stock Futures Fall on AI Concerns, Rising Oil Prices

US stock futures declined on Thursday, with S&P 500 futures down 0.9%, Nasdaq 100 futures off 1.6% and Dow Jones futures lower by nearly 110 points. Technology shares remained under pressure as recent corporate earnings failed to meet investor expectations, and the rotation out of semiconductor stocks appeared set to continue. At the same time, oil prices rose amid renewed supply concerns and escalating geopolitical tensions.

Meta slipped 0.6% even after reporting stronger earnings and revenue, while Tesla fell 3.2% following a cutback in its spending plans, with capital expenditures last quarter coming in below forecasts. Lam Research plunged more than 7% after issuing a weaker-than-expected outlook. Nvidia declined 2%, and IBM dropped 4.2%. Elsewhere, Honeywell lost 2.1% despite raising its full-year guidance, whereas Lockheed Martin gained 2.6% after beating analysts’ estimates on both earnings and revenue.
