Czechia Manufacturing Activity Strongest Since 2022

The Czech Manufacturing PMI rose to 55.0 in October 2026 from 53.5 in September, its highest level since February 2022 and above market expectations of 53.0. The index remained comfortably above its long-run average of 51.9, indicating a broad-based expansion in the sector.

New orders increased for an eighth consecutive month and at their fastest pace since February 2022, supported by robust external demand, with export orders rising at their quickest rate since August 2021. Output expanded for an eleventh straight month, while employment growth accelerated to its strongest level since January 2022.

Purchasing activity and inventories also rose, even as supplier delivery times lengthened due to ongoing chip shortages and broader supply-chain disruptions. At the same time, inflationary pressures intensified: input costs increased at their fastest pace since June, and output prices registered their sharpest rise since July.

Mounting inflation concerns weighed on business sentiment, with 12‑month expectations slipping to their weakest level since April.
