The wave structure here is still building its order downwards; the MACD indicator used is in the upper purchase zone and is growing above its signal line. Last week, buyers dominated completely. Since this is a daily chart, you can see what happened last month, in July. You could see the formation of an uncertainty figure, a narrowing triangle; the price began to grow quite well and even broke through this triangle upwards. But as you can see, the breakthrough turned out to be false, and the price fell inside the formed range of its movements that were earlier. It would seem obvious when there was that growth that the price would go beyond the maximum of the previous wave, but no, this did not happen at that time. Many buyers were activated in this way and dragged them under water. Already at the beginning of July, the price broke through this triangle downwards, and it would seem obvious that there would be an exit beyond the minimum of the previous wave, that is, below the level of 142.36. Again, it did not work out; the price grew without going beyond this level. Here sellers were activated who were counting on a further decline along the general downward trend, and again they did not give any result; they dragged the price up. And now the price will clearly strive for the maximums of the last two months, May and June, since they are located close to each other. The US dollar was inclined to strengthen in general on the market. Well, for example, the same main pairs, euro-dollar and pound-dollar, have on the daily chart such fat bearish divergences on MACD, a high probability of decline there, and here it turns out that on the opposing pair, the probability of growth prevails, respectively, which is confirmed at the moment; growth is underway. Somewhere these signals have already worked out well, somewhere not so much; in particular, the pound has dropped well from the heights reached. So far, purchases are in priority during the day.
