USDCHFm (USD/CHF), M5 — COMPLETE TECHNICAL ANALYSIS Chart-Based Market Structure, FVG, Order Block, MSS, BOS & Liquidity Analysis 1. BULLISH STRUCTURE AT MAJOR SUPPLY The USDCHFm M5 chart initially shows price moving within a relatively broad consolidation area, with repeated attempts to advance toward the upper resistance region around 0.83045–0.83075. Earlier price action demonstrates several bullish recovery attempts, but buyers repeatedly struggle to maintain upward momentum near the upper boundary. This is important because a bullish move into supply does not automatically mean that the market will continue higher. The reaction at the supply region determines whether buyers can absorb the available selling pressure or whether sellers can force price back into a lower trading range. The chart subsequently shows a major bearish displacement from the upper region, followed by an extended period of lower prices and choppy consolidation. This shift indicates that the earlier bullish structure lost strength and that sellers gained control of the immediate intraday movement. Later, another bullish recovery develops from the lower region near 0.82775 and advances toward approximately 0.82955–0.82965, but the recovery encounters selling pressure and reverses again. The current chart therefore presents a mixed structure: a broader intraday bearish displacement, a subsequent bullish recovery, and renewed selling pressure near the upper part of the recovery. The major supply region remains an important decision area, while the lower demand region represents a potential location for another bullish reaction. A bullish interpretation would require price to reclaim nearby resistance and demonstrate sustained buying strength. Until that happens, the chart does not confirm a complete bullish reversal. 2. ORDER BLOCK (SUPPLY) The ORDER BLOCK (SUPPLY) is located in the upper portion of your chart, around the repeated highs near 0.83045–0.83075. Price tests this area several times, but the advances fail to establish a sustained breakout above the previous highs. The repeated reactions indicate that the upper region is an important resistance area in the visible price structure. The strongest evidence comes from the subsequent bearish displacement: after price reaches the upper region, a sharp downward movement develops and breaks through several lower trading levels. This reaction suggests that selling pressure became dominant after the market tested the upper boundary. From a technical perspective, the supply zone should be treated as an area where sellers may become active again, rather than as a guaranteed reversal point. If price returns to this region, traders can monitor the size of the bullish candles, the speed of the advance, the formation of upper wicks, and the ability of buyers to hold above the zone. A strong rejection followed by a lower-timeframe bearish structure shift would strengthen the supply-reaction scenario. Conversely, if price consolidates above the zone and continues to form higher highs and higher lows, the supply region may be weakening. The chart does not establish that the zone will hold indefinitely. Its significance depends on the reaction when price revisits it and whether the market produces confirmation rather than merely touching the marked area. 3. STRONG BULLISH MOVE — MOMENTUM EXPANSION The chart contains several visible bullish momentum expansions, especially the recovery from the lower intraday structure toward the upper resistance region. One notable sequence develops before the major bearish displacement, when price advances from approximately 0.8290 toward the 0.83045–0.83075 area. A later bullish recovery is also visible on the right side of the chart, where price rises from the lower consolidation area near 0.82775 and advances toward approximately 0.82955–0.82965. These movements show that buyers can generate substantial short-term momentum even within an overall unstable structure. However, momentum expansion must be evaluated alongside the location of price and the quality of the follow-through. In the later recovery, bullish candles are followed by a noticeable bearish reaction, with price falling back toward the 0.82840 region and subsequently sweeping lower toward the demand area. This shows why a strong bullish candle sequence alone is insufficient evidence for a sustainable reversal. A more convincing bullish continuation would involve a recovery above nearby resistance, a confirmed break of a relevant swing high, and successful consolidation above the reclaimed level. If price instead produces another sharp rejection and breaks the most recent intraday low, the bullish expansion should be interpreted as a temporary recovery within the prevailing bearish structure. For this M5 chart, momentum is most useful when combined with the location of the nearest FVG, the reaction around the marked demand zone, and confirmation through a clear BOS or MSS. 4. SELL SIDE LIQUIDITY (SSL) The SELL SIDE LIQUIDITY (SSL) region is particularly important in the lower portion of your chart, where price repeatedly trades around the lows near 0.82775 and extends toward the lower boundary of the visible range. The market forms several short-term lows during the evening consolidation, and these lows become natural reference points for traders monitoring potential liquidity sweeps. When price moves below a previously established low, it may trigger stop-loss orders placed beneath that level and activate sell orders from breakout traders. Nevertheless, a sweep below a low does not automatically confirm that the market will reverse upward. The key distinction is whether price can reclaim the broken level and produce a meaningful bullish reaction afterward. On the right side of the chart, price falls sharply from the recovery high, moves through the nearby 0.82840–0.82827 area, and reaches the lower region around 0.82775 before recovering. This behavior is consistent with a possible sell-side liquidity sweep, but the screenshot alone cannot establish the exact order flow behind the move. Traders should therefore monitor the reaction after the low is taken. A strong bullish displacement, followed by an MSS and a break of a nearby short-term high, would strengthen the case for a recovery from SSL. If price remains weak beneath the reclaimed level or establishes fresh lows without bullish follow-through, the downside move may continue. The most important principle is to distinguish between a liquidity sweep and a confirmed bullish reversal. 5. BOS — BREAK OF STRUCTURE The BOS — BREAK OF STRUCTURE markings on your chart identify areas where price moves beyond previously established swing levels. The first part of the chart displays several recovery attempts and short-term structural breaks, but the most consequential development is the sharp bearish displacement from the upper supply region. That move carries price through several previously traded levels and changes the character of the intraday structure. The subsequent consolidation near the lower portion of the chart indicates that the market is attempting to establish a new short-term balance after the aggressive decline. Later, the bullish recovery from the lower range breaks through some nearby intraday swing levels, demonstrating that buyers have regained temporary control of the immediate move. However, the subsequent reversal shows that this recovery did not establish a sustained bullish trend across the entire visible structure. A valid bullish BOS would require price to break a clearly defined recent swing high and demonstrate acceptance above it rather than briefly crossing it with a wick. In the current context, a recovery above the nearest short-term highs around 0.82895–0.82925 would be an initial improvement, while the previous recovery high around 0.82955–0.82965 represents a more significant visible reference. A break above the major supply region near 0.83045–0.83075 would provide stronger evidence of broader bullish continuation. Until the market produces such confirmation, the bullish recovery should be evaluated as a short-term structural improvement rather than proof that the earlier bearish displacement has been completely reversed. 6. FVG — FAIR VALUE GAP ZONES The FVG — FAIR VALUE GAP ZONES marked on your chart highlight areas associated with rapid price displacement. These zones are useful for identifying where price moved aggressively and where a later return may provide an opportunity to assess whether the market will continue in the direction of the original impulse or reject the area. The chart shows several purple FVG markings across the upper and middle portions of the structure, as well as a smaller marked zone on the right side near the current price movement. The upper FVG area lies close to the major supply region, making it particularly relevant if price attempts another bullish advance. Because supply and imbalance overlap in this region, a return could produce a strong reaction in either direction depending on the quality of the price response. The middle FVG zones are associated with earlier displacement movements and may act as intermediate reference areas during a recovery or another bearish leg. The smaller right-side FVG is especially relevant to the latest candles because price has recently experienced a sharp decline followed by a rebound from the lower region. If price returns to this FVG and struggles to move through it, the area may act as short-term resistance. If buyers reclaim the zone and maintain acceptance above it, the recovery could extend toward the next visible swing high. An FVG should not be treated as an automatic entry signal or assumed to fill completely. The chart provides approximate visual locations rather than exact candle-by-candle boundaries, so the zones should be refined using the original TradingView candles before any trade decision. 7. MSS — MARKET STRUCTURE SHIFT The MSS — MARKET STRUCTURE SHIFT is a critical component of this chart because price repeatedly alternates between bullish recoveries and bearish reactions. Earlier in the session, the market attempts to recover from a decline and establishes short-term bullish movement. However, the major rejection from the upper region is followed by aggressive selling, indicating that the previous upward momentum has weakened substantially. On the right side, price again rises from the lower consolidation region and forms a visible recovery toward approximately 0.82955–0.82965. The subsequent sharp decline suggests that the recovery has failed to maintain its bullish momentum. The marked MSS near the lower-right region should therefore be interpreted in the context of the nearby swing highs and lows rather than as an isolated label. For a bullish MSS to become convincing, price should sweep or test the relevant lower liquidity area, reclaim a short-term structural level, and break above a recent lower high with clear bullish displacement. A simple rebound from the demand zone is not sufficient. Conversely, if price breaks below the most recent reaction low and remains beneath it, the short-term structure would continue to favor sellers. The distinction between a genuine shift and a temporary bounce is particularly important on the M5 timeframe, where small structural changes occur frequently. Traders should prioritize candle closes and follow-through over isolated wicks. A confirmed MSS can help identify a potential change in short-term control, but the surrounding supply, demand, and FVG zones remain necessary for evaluating whether that change has sufficient room to develop.
