Australia Building Approval Data Due On Tuesday

On Tuesday, Australia is set to announce the building approvals data for January. Economists predict there could be a decline of 1.0% on a monthly basis, following a 10.1% drop observed the month prior.

Simultaneously, National Australia Bank will release the February surveys detailing business confidence and conditions. In the previous month, the scores stood at +1 and +6 respectively.

In addition, February figures for producer prices will be revealed by Japan, with predictions pointing towards a 0.1% rise monthly and a 0.5% annual increase. This follows the level monthly reading and a modest 0.2% annual rise reported in January.

New Zealand is also scheduled to publish February's electronic card retail sales data. The figures in January demonstrated a monthly and annual increase of 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively.

Meanwhile, industrial production data for January is expected from Malaysia, where indicators suggest a potential 2.0% annual growth. This would mark a turnaround from the 0.1% fall recorded in December.

Lastly, it's worth noting that the Indonesian markets will remain closed until Wednesday in celebration of Hindi Saka New Year.
