European Economic News Preview: UK Unemployment Data Due

The latest labor market statistics from the UK and final consumer pricing data from Germany are set to be released on Tuesday, making it a comparatively less busy day for European economic updates.

At 3:00 am ET, the Office for National Statistics is scheduled to release the UK's unemployment statistics for January. The unemployment rate is anticipated to remain steady at 3.8 percent for the three-month period leading up to January. Concurrently, Destatis, the German Government's statistical office, is set to reveal the country's final consumer and harmonized prices for February. It is anticipated that the consumer price inflation will reduce from January's 2.9 percent to 2.5 percent.

At 4:00 am ET, the Czech Statistical Office is planning to announce January's retail sales figures. The prediction is that retail sales will observe an annual increase of 0.3 percent, this comes after a rise of 1.6 percent in December.

Lastly, Portugal's final inflation data will be revealed at 7:00 am ET.
