FX.co ★ Lagardere 9-Month Revenues Up About 12%

Lagardere SCA, the renowned French conglomerate, announced on Thursday its nine-month revenue figures, totaling 6.610 billion euros. This marks an 11.8% increase compared to the previous year’s 5.914 billion euros.

When assessed on a comparable basis, the revenue demonstrated a growth of 9.1%.

In detail, Lagardere Travel Retail witnessed a revenue rise of 16.8%, reaching 4.344 billion euros, and Lagardere Publishing experienced a 3.0% increase in revenue, amounting to 2.074 billion euros. Additionally, revenue generated from other activities reached 192 million euros, reflecting a 6.7% reported growth.

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Arnaud Lagardere, remarked, "During the third quarter of 2024, the Lagardère Group delivered a solid 7.4% growth. Lagardère Travel Retail achieved a record quarterly revenue milestone amidst challenging geopolitical conditions. Lagardère Publishing sustained robust revenue levels, significantly boosted by a notable performance in the United States. The Group's other activities were propelled by strong momentum within the News segment. Throughout the first nine months of 2024, the Group realized an impressive year-on-year growth of 696 million euros. This upward trajectory underscores Lagardère's resilience and commitment to advancing its business objectives."
