Lithuania’s Producer Prices Fall for 3rd Month

In March 2025, Lithuania experienced a 1.5% year-over-year decrease in producer prices, marking the third consecutive month of deflation and representing a further decline from the 0.7% fall recorded in the previous month. This decrease can largely be attributed to reduced prices in the sectors of mining and quarrying, which dropped by 2.1% compared to a 1.7% decline in February, and manufacturing, which saw a significant fall of 2.5% from a previous 0.9% decrease. Conversely, there was a notable increase in costs for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply, which accelerated to 6.8% from 1.3%. Additionally, prices for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities showed a recovery, climbing by 0.7% following a 2.5% decline. On a month-to-month basis, producer prices fell by 1.4% in March, reversing the 0.2% increase observed in February.
