World Food Prices Slow in May

In May 2025, the FAO Food Price Index decreased by 0.8%, settling at 127.7 points. This followed a revised April figure of 128.7 points, marking a peak not seen since February 2023. Although there were price increases for dairy products and meat, these were outweighed by declines in the indices for cereals, sugar, and vegetable oils.
