Poland Inflation Eases to Over 1-Year Low

Poland experienced a decrease in its annual inflation rate to 3.1% in July 2025, down from 4.1% in June, according to preliminary estimates. This figure slightly surpassed market expectations, which anticipated a rate of 2.8%. The current rate is the lowest since June 2024, primarily due to a significant drop in fuel prices for personal transport, which fell by 6.8% compared to a 3.5% increase in June. In contrast, there were price hikes in food and non-alcoholic beverages, which rose by 4.9% from 0.6%, as well as in electricity, gas, and other fuels, which increased by 2.4% from 1.1%. On a month-over-month basis, consumer prices rose to 0.3% in July, an increase from 0.1% in the previous month.
