In July 2025, retail sales in Mexico experienced a 2.4% increase compared to the previous year, surpassing market predictions of 1.6%, though slightly down from the 2.5% increase recorded in June. Growth was noted in seven out of nine sectors, with the most significant advances in online and catalog sales (20.7%), household appliances (5.7%), motor vehicles and fuels (3.4%), and department stores (3.3%). However, there were declines observed in the textiles and footwear sector (-2.8%) and in groceries and beverages (-0.3%). Retail employment saw a slight uptick of 0.3%, and wages went up by 1.7%. When adjusted for seasonality, the real income from goods and services registered a minor growth of 0.1% from June.
