In August 2025, Armenia experienced a year-on-year rise in economic activity of 7.5%, a slight decline from the revised 9% growth observed in July. This slowdown was primarily due to more modest expansions in critical sectors. Construction saw an increase of 21.1%, down from 26.1% in July, services increased by 6.7% compared to 11.4% the previous month, and trade activity rose by 1.7%, a decrease from 3% in July. Conversely, the industrial sector witnessed an increase, registering a 5.8% growth compared to 4.2% in the preceding month. On a month-to-month comparison, the overall economic activity grew by 5.4%, slightly up from the previous month's 5% growth. Over the first eight months of the year, from January through August, economic activity surpassed the same period from the previous year by 7.1%.
