US Natural Gas Stocks Fall for 3rd Week

During the week ending November 28th, U.S. energy companies extracted 12 billion cubic feet of natural gas from domestic storage facilities, bringing the total inventory to 3,923 billion cubic feet. This marked the third week of the natural gas withdrawal season, mirroring the schedule from the prior year, as colder temperatures heightened the need for gas-heated systems nationwide. Despite the reduction, the natural gas reserves were 0.5% lower than the same timeframe the previous year, yet remained 5.1% higher than the current five-year average.
