Taiwan’s exports surged in January 2026, with year-over-year growth jumping to 69.9%, according to data updated on 09 February 2026. This marks a sharp acceleration from December 2025, when export growth stood at 43.4% compared with the same month a year earlier.

The figures reflect a strong upswing in external demand at the start of the year. On a year-over-year basis, the “actual” January reading compares shipments in January 2026 with those in January 2025, while the “previous” December figure compares December 2025 exports to December 2024. The steep rise from 43.4% to 69.9% underscores a significant strengthening in Taiwan’s export performance as the new year began.
