Ireland’s residential property market recorded a modest acceleration in annual price growth in December 2025, with prices rising 7.00% year-on-year, up from 6.60% in November 2025.
The figures, updated on 18 February 2026, show that the pace of increase in December slightly outstripped that of the previous month when measured against the same period a year earlier. The comparison is based on year-over-year changes, meaning both the current and previous indicators reflect how much prices rose relative to the same month in the prior year.
The uptick suggests that price pressures in Ireland’s housing market remained firm at the end of 2025, with no sign of a year-end slowdown in residential property price growth.
