Consumer prices in São Paulo were virtually unchanged month-on-month in July 2026, after rising 0.18% in June. Inflation slowed in the health category (0.10% vs. 0.31% in June), while prices declined for food (-0.69% vs. +0.13%), transportation (-0.13% vs. +0.10%), and personal expenses (-0.07% vs. -0.03%). In contrast, price increases accelerated for clothing (0.58% vs. 0.31%), housing (0.57% vs. 0.34%), and education (0.30% vs. 0.11%).
