FX.co ★ Norway Jobless Rate Edges Up in February

Norway's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate slightly increased to 3.8% in February 2025, up from 3.7% in January. The number of unemployed individuals rose by 3,000, reaching a total of 116,000. Concurrently, the employment rate experienced a minor decrease to 69.8% from 69.9% the month before, as the number of employed persons fell by 2,000 to 2.907 million. Additionally, the labor force participation rate slipped to 72.6% from 72.7%. Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, reflecting job-seekers aged 15 to 24, saw an uptick to 11.8%, compared to 11.3% in the previous month.
