In March 2025, Paraguay experienced a trade deficit expansion, reaching USD 422.99 million, compared to a USD 325.11 million deficit in the same period the previous year. The country saw a 2.9% rise in exports, totaling USD 893.52 million. This growth was largely fueled by significant increases in agricultural shipments (25.6%) and manufactured goods (10.4%), despite a decline in energy and fuel exports (-14.3%). On the import side, there was a 10.3% surge to USD 1,316.5 million, propelled by higher purchases of consumer goods (30.0%) and capital goods (15.8%), while imports of intermediate goods fell (-16.6%).
