This positive shift marks the first surplus in the current account balance since December 2024. The deficit in the goods account improved, narrowing to EUR 4.3 billion from February's EUR 6.2 billion. Additionally, the surplus in the services account increased significantly to EUR 5.3 billion, up from EUR 4.2 billion the month before. Meanwhile, the primary income surplus experienced a slight decline, coming in at EUR 4.2 billion compared to February's EUR 4.3 billion. The secondary income deficit remained stable at EUR 3.9 billion.
