Vietnam Stocks Hit Record High

The VN Index experienced a 14-point increase, or 0.9%, reaching 1,546 during Monday's morning session, marking its fifth consecutive day of gains. This upward trend was bolstered by sustained capital inflows. Traders reacted positively to the United States' trade agreements with the European Union, which saw tariffs decrease to 15% from a previously threatened 30%. Additionally, the anticipation of an export recovery, fueled by recent Vietnam-US trade agreements, contributed to the positive momentum. Supporting market sentiment were several government initiatives, such as reductions in value-added tax and easing of credit conditions. Nearly all sectors reported positive trading, with technology stocks leading the advance, closely followed by the transportation and finance sectors. Standout performers included Viet Nam Electrical Equipment, which saw a 7.0% increase, Vix Securities JSC rising by 6.9%, Cokyvina up by 4.9%, Viet Jet Aviation climbing by 4.3%, and Hai Phong Electric-Water Machine, which gained 3.6%.
