Serbia Current Account Deficit Narrows in July

In July 2025, Serbia's current account deficit decreased to $480 million, a decline from the adjusted $663 million noted in July of the previous year. The goods account deficit narrowed to $724 million from $759 million in July 2024, while the surplus in services saw a modest increase to $74 million, compared to $10 million previously. The primary income deficit showed a slight reduction, coming in at $447 million, down from $467 million the year before. Meanwhile, the secondary income surplus rose to $617 million from $553 million. However, for the first seven months of 2025, the current account deficit expanded to $2.65 billion, up from $1.83 billion during the same period in 2024.
