Motorbike sales in Indonesia experienced a year-on-year increase of 2.1%, reaching 523,591 units in November 2025, building on the 8.4% growth witnessed in October. This represents the fourth consecutive month of annual growth, though the pace has slowed despite a cumulative 150 basis points cut in interest rates by the central bank since September 2024. For the first eleven months of 2025, motorbike sales showed a modest increase of 0.4% compared to the same timeframe in 2024. However, on a month-to-month comparison, sales declined by 11.3% in November, contrasting with a 4.1% increase in October. In 2024, annual motorbike sales rose by 1.5%, totaling 6.3 million units, aligning with the forecast range of 6.2 to 6.5 million units anticipated by the Association of Indonesian Motorcycle Industry (AISI). Looking forward to 2025, AISI has set a target range of 6.4 to 6.7 million units, maintaining an optimistic outlook that this target could be met by year-end.
