FX.co ★ Eurozone Core Inflation Falls to 4-Year Low

The annual core inflation rate within the Euro Area, excluding food, energy, and tobacco prices, decreased to 2.2% in January 2026 from 2.3% the previous month, based on preliminary estimates. This figure represents the lowest rise in core prices since October 2021, prior to the impact of the Russian conflict in Ukraine, which disrupted European energy supply and led to unprecedented inflation levels in the region.
