Croatia Inflation Edges Up in January

In January 2026, Croatia's annual inflation rate slightly increased to 3.4%, a climb from the eight-month low of 3.3% observed in December, according to preliminary figures. The estimated price changes include a 3.0% rise in food, beverages, and tobacco; a marginal 0.1% increase in non-food industrial goods excluding energy; a 7.2% hike in services; and a 3.7% rise in energy. On a month-to-month comparison, consumer prices experienced a 0.3% uptick in January, recovering from a 0.4% drop in December 2025, which had marked the most significant monthly decline since January 2024.
