Frankfurt's DAX edged slightly lower to around 24,830 on Friday, as global markets traded cautiously ahead of a key US inflation report and amid ongoing worries about elevated investment in artificial intelligence. At the same time, investors continued to track the corporate earnings season. Among individual stocks, Siemens led the decliners with a 3% drop, followed by Brenntag (-2.7%), Symrise (-1.7%), and RWE (-1.6%). On the positive side, MTU Aero Engines and Rheinmetall posted the strongest gains, rising 2.9% and 1.7%, respectively. For the week, the index was on track to end with a 0.4% increase.
