Poland recorded a current account deficit of EUR 1,698 million in December 2025, widening from EUR 1,427 million in the same month a year earlier and exceeding market expectations of a EUR 1,250 million shortfall. The goods deficit increased to EUR 2,298 million from EUR 1,993 million, while the primary income deficit also expanded slightly to EUR 3,114 million from EUR 3,064 million. At the same time, the services surplus declined to EUR 3,276 million from EUR 3,333 million, whereas the secondary income balance improved to a surplus of EUR 438 million from EUR 297 million. Over the full year 2025, the current account swung to a deficit of EUR 6,303 million, compared with a surplus of EUR 2,591 million in the previous year.
